Personal Services Contracts

Personal Services Contract Regulations and Policy came into effect on January 1, 2006. 

The Personal Services Contract Regulations are part of government’s commitment to accountability and transparency and will improve the management of personal services contracts.  They establish the requirements for approval of personal services contracts in all departments, offices and government agencies unless a specific exemption is granted. The threshold for approval of personal services contracts is based on total compensation packages, not just on salary. The policy sets out the process for obtaining the approvals required by the regulations.
