Telefilm Canada teams up with TVA-HEC Montréal television and film management program to offer five $3,200 bursaries
Montréal, June 23, 2006 - Michel Pradier, Director of French-Language
Operations and of Telefilm Canada's Quebec office, is pleased to announce that
the Corporation, in collaboration with the Formation des cadres et des dirigeants
HEC Montréal, is sponsoring for the third year five bursaries that will
allow Canadian audiovisual producers and distributors to participate in the TVA-HEC
Montréal television and film management training program to be held November
15-22 in Bromont.
The competition for the $3,200 bursaries is open to managers (both shareholders
and non-shareholders) permanently employed by a Canadian television or film
production company or by a distribution company. Conditional upon the applications
received, the selection committee, composed of Telefilm Canada and HEC Montréal
representatives, will award four bursaries to Montréal-area candidates
and one to an applicant from outside Montréal or to a francophone candidate
from outside Quebec.
The eligibility criteria for the competition can be found on Telefilm
Canada's Website. The application deadline is September 28, 2006.
Telefilm Canada is a federal cultural agency dedicated to the development and
promotion of the Canadian audiovisual industry. Telefilm provides financial
support to the private sector to create distinctively Canadian productions that
appeal to domestic and international audiences. The Corporation also administers
the funding programs of the Canadian Television Fund.
