Political Career
From 1994 to 1997, was elected as municipal councillor for New Minas. During this time he served as chair of the Kings Regional Sewer Committee, and member of the Kings Transit Board, the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre and the New Minas Area Advisory Committee. First elected to Legislative Assembly in July 1999; re-elected August
2003 and June 2006. Cabinet duties have included Minister of Environment and Labour; Minister of Community Services,
Minister of Emergency Management and Minister responsible for the Disabled Persons Commission Act.
Community Involvement
Actively involved with the Kentville Area Minor Hockey Association, New Minas Soccer Association, Valley Credit Union, SPCA, Valley AIDS Walk, MS Society and the New Minas Elementary Parent-Teachers Association.

Married to Lynn Morse; five children.
