Political Career

Elected Halifax County councillor in 1991. Elected member for Colchester-Musquodoboit in 1993 byelection. Re-elected in 1998, 1999, August 2003 and June 2006. He has been Minister of Natural Resources, vice-chair of the Standing Committee on Economic Development and a member of the Standing Committee on Human Resources.

Community Involvement

Member of Musquodoboit River Association, Musquodoboit Recreation Association, Halifax County Truckers Association, Musquodoboit Valley and Area Business Association, and Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 147.

Family

Married since 1971 to Norma Taylor; two children and one grandchild.
