Environmental Protection Review Canada is a group of expert adjudicators appointed under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA, 1999). This Act entitles companies, individuals, and government agencies and departments to request independent reviews of Environmental Protection Compliance Orders (EPCOs).

EPCOs are new tools under CEPA, 1999 that will allow enforcement officers to put an immediate stop to suspected illegal activity, to prevent a violation from occurring, or to require action to correct the violation.
