WelcomeWorking in collaboration with industry and universities, the mission of IMS is to provide national leadership and to perform R&D into emerging information technologies related to the future hardware requirements in the areas of organic and inorganic semiconductor-based electronics and photonics. The transfer of information between people, countries, through distance and time will irrevocably change within the next decade. The role of the Institute for Microstructural Sciences is to help keep Canada at the leading edge of the technologies that enable this information revolution. Through the application of novel materials and components to solve problems posed by the need for advanced hardware, IMS has demonstrated its relevance and expertise.
