Labour Relations Board Issues Cease and Desist Order

The Labour Relations Board announced that it has taken action to end an illegal strike which commenced today, Nov. 24, involving Cape Breton District Health Authority and members of the National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada (CAW-CANADA), Local 4600.
The complaint was filed with the board today Nov. 24 requesting the board to issue a cease and desist order against members of the National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada (CAW-CANADA), Local 4600.
An interim order has been issued by the board directing certain employees of Cape Breton District Health Authority who are participating in an illegal work stoppage to cease and desist and return to work at their next regularly scheduled shift and perform their lawful duties as assigned by their employer.
