Pride and Recognition is an extremely important human resources initiative.
It is indeed a significant one, as Canada's federal public service
embarks on Human Resources Modernization for the 21st century.
There are many shapes and forms of recognition and it is the responsibility
of each and everyone of us to ensure that our work-environment fully respects
and recognizes individual contributions. To become an employer of choice, we
need to have a workplace of choice.
The Awards, Recognition and Special Events Team is responsible for the
development and coordination of the Public Service Award Program, National
Public Service Week and Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) events, which include
ADM dinners and ADM forums. We are also responsible for the development and
interpretation of policies/initiatives in the areas of Pride and Recognition.
Our team is dedicated to helping departments and agencies
achieve their goals in promoting a recognition culture in their respective
sectors.
