Awards & Recognition

  • The Complaints Commission Merit Award recognizes outstanding work performance and other meritorious contributions, such as exemplary service to internal and external clients or professional excellence, which are beyond the normal expectations of an individual or a team. This award can also be granted to employees whose initiative has significantly improved the Complaints Commission's activities or enhanced the work environment. In June 2005, the Complaints Commission Executive Committee granted a Merit Award to employees for outstanding contribution during 2004, an exceptionally difficult and demanding period, during which they have made a contribution of unusual merit. They are: Suzanne Brewer, Julianne Dunbar, David Goetz, Donna Hellmann, Janet Korol, Suzy-Anne Legault and Muguette Vernier. Other employees were also granted this Merit Award but opted for anonymity. The Interim Chairperson presented the Awards to the employees on July 7, 2005. The Executive Committee would like to thank these employees for their contribution.
  • The Workplace Well-Being Advocate Award recognizes the significant contribution of a Complaints Commission employee to the quality of the work life and workplace morale. In April 2005, all employees were invited to cast a secret vote to recognize a fellow employee for his or her contribution to improved team spirit, the quality of work life and morale of fellow personnel in fiscal year 2004-2005. The award was given to Ms. Suzanne Brewer. Ms. Brewer is the Complaints Commission Financial Officer and has been with the organization since May 2003. The Interim Chairperson presented her with the award on June 2, 2005. The Complaints Commission members and staff were pleased to recognize Ms. Brewer's contibution to the workplace.
