Acting Chairperson designated / Selection process for new Chairperson

Ian R. Mackenzie, Vice-chairperson of the Public Service Labour Relations Board, was designated as Acting Chairperson of the Board by the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Status of Women on September 2, 2006, following the expiry of Sylvie Matteau's term as Vice-chairperson. The process to select a new Chairperson of the Board is ongoing. Information about the position was published in the Canada Gazette, posted on the Internet, and advertised nationally. The closing date for applications was July 24, 2006.
