ACOA is a government agency, and as such all employment opportunities are made through the Public Service Commission of Canada.

jobs.gc.ca - Provides an online listing of available jobs open to the public, as well as useful info such as sample exams, online application forms and Career Alert Service - e-mail notification for openings that are of interest to you.

"I am looking for information on funding and other programs to help me start my own business."

The Canada Business Service Centre (CBSC) in your region can help you. Each office is a full-service business information resource accessible province-wide and free-of-charge. Their knowledgeable, bilingual staff will answer your business questions and provide options to help you make informed decisions.

"What funding is available for a company which is looking to expand their current business?"

Business Development Program (BDP) is designed to help you set up, expand or modernize your business. Focusing on small- and medium-sized enterprises, the program offers access to capital in the form of interest-free, unsecured, repayable contributions.

"I am from a small town, who would I contact in my region about starting a business here?"

Community Business Development Corporations (CBDCs) assist in the creation of small businesses, and in the expansion, modernization and stabilization of existing businesses. CBDCs offer both technical and financial services for entrepreneurs in rural Atlantic Canada.

"What funding is available for a young entrepreneur?"

The Seed Capital Program provides loans of up to $20,000 to start, expand or improve a small business, as well as loans of up to $2,000 to acquire business skills training.
