In the 10 years since its opening in 1995, Environment Canada’s Biosphère has been a showcase for environmental education. The Biosphère raises the awareness of young people and their families about major environmental issues, including those related to water and climate change, and the sustainable development of the Great Lakes – St Lawrence ecosystem.

River Rovers Programming

The purpose of the programming is to showcase the Great Lakes–St. Lawrence River watershed, one of the largest in North America, and give participants a better understanding of certain environmental issues affecting the area.
