Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP)

This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program. The Canada Revenue Agency recognizes the efforts of all the volunteers who have participated in this community-based program throughout the years. The Minister of National Revenue would like to take this opportunity to extend her personal thanks to all of the volunteers and to recognize the achievements of all of the community volunteers.

We want to help eligible individuals who are unable to complete their income tax and benefit returns themselves and are unable to pay for assistance. We established a partnership with Revenu Québec in 1988. The volunteers from the province of Quebec complete both federal and provincial returns.
