WelcomeThis website is designed in programmed instruction style. This method of instruction is sometimes called "self-instruction", and it means exactly that: YOU TEACH YOURSELF, with a minimum of time and effort on your part. Though it includes many questions, these are NOT TEST QUESTIONS. The questions are designed to assist learning by using your active participation. The text of the course is made up of a series of sentences or short paragraphs, called frames, each of which not only presents some information to you, but also requires you to respond in some way. The questions are in all cases directly related to the information you have just read in the frame or in the previous few frames. These questions are designed to ensure that you understand what you have read. The correct answer is always provided at the end of the frame. If you want to go back over anything you don't understand, then by all means do so. After you have completed the frames in a section, go on to the Self-Test. This will help you review the highlights of the section and measure how much you have learned. TIP:Use a notebook to write your answers to questions, take notes and keep track of your location in the course. There are 1185 frames in all.
