Forensic Laboratory Services to Host Media Technical Briefing

April 25, 2005 - The media are invited to attend a technical briefing on the operations of the RCMP Forensic Laboratory Services. The briefing will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2005 from 9:30-11:30 am at RCMP Headquarters, 1200 Vanier Parkway.

The briefing will be provided by Deputy Commissioner Peter D. Martin, National Police Services, Mr. Joe Buckle, Assistant Commissioner, Forensic Laboratory Services, Dr. John Bowen, Chief Scientific Officer, and Dr. Ron Fourney, National DNA Data Bank. The briefing will consist of a presentation, question and answer period, and a brief tour of the laboratory facilities.

Media should be at the NPS Building no later than 9:20 am. You will be escorted to the briefing room.
