Indonesia: ADB offers between US$900 million and US$1.1 billion

Prepared by the International Financing Division, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is prepared to provide Indonesia with up to US$900 million in new loans for 2006, and between US$1 billion to US$1.1 billion in 2007. The ADB’s support will focus on infrastructure and social sectors with an aim of increasing public and private investment in development. The ADB is also assisting the country’s post earthquake reconstruction needs with US$60 million in grants and soft loans.
