GeneralFederal Reserve Force Awareness CampaignAs the largest employer of Canadians, the Federal Government sets the standard for military leave for reservists from their civilian jobs. Although the regulations and policies are comprehensive, they are not well publicized.
In order to raise awareness amongst federal public service managers and reservists alike, the Canadian Forces Liaison Council has launched a Federal Reserve Force Awareness Campaign. The aim of our campaign is threefold:
Government of Canada Statement of Support For the Reserve Force Federal Reserve Force Awareness CampaignInformation for Deputy Heads of GovernmentOn 09 May 2003, a Statement of Support for the Reserve Force was signed on behalf of the Government of Canada. Following this Statements of Support for the Reserve Force were also signed by the Deputy Minister of National Defence and the Secretary of Treasury Board. Deputy Heads of Government who choose to formalize a Statement of Support for the Reserve Force on behalf of their respective department, agency, board, commission or Crown corporation should refer to the information below for details on how to proceed.
