The Honourable Jim Flaherty, Minister of Finance, Marks the Introduction of the New Tax Credit for Transit Passes

The Honourable Jim Flaherty, Minister of Finance, will highlight the new tax credit on the purchase cost of monthly public transit passes on July 5 in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Minister Flaherty, accompanied by the Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of the Environment, and Bill Fisch, Chair of the Regional Municipality of York and Chair of the Rapid Transit Steering Committee, will arrive at the Richmond Hill Centre Bus Terminal at Yonge Street and Highway 7 at approximately 10:00 a.m.

The Minister will make brief remarks at approximately 10:05 a.m. followed by a media availability.
