Launch of Space Shuttle Discovery delayed again: Astronaut Steve MacLean at CSA to comment
Longueuil, Quebec, July 2, 2006 - The launch of Space Shuttle Discovery, planned for July 1st in the afternoon, rescheduled for July 2nd, has been delayed once again due to unfavorable weather conditions.
NASA has rescheduled the launch for Tuesday, July 4 at 2:37 p.m. EDT.
Media representatives are invited to the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) where CSA Astronaut Steve MacLean will be on-site to comment on the launch. He will also be available for interviews.

WHAT
Discovery Mission
Space Shuttle Discovery with its 7-member crew will be leaving for the International Space Station on an 12-day mission. The Discovery crew will continue to test new equipment and procedures to increase the safety of space shuttles. Such testing began with the flight of STS-114 last year (July 26 to August 9, 2005). The crew will also perform maintenance activities on the International Space Station and deliver supplies and cargo for future station expansion.
Atlantis Mission
Space Shuttle Atlantis with CSA Astronaut Steve MacLean onboard is scheduled for launch on August 28, 2006. During Mission STS-115, Astronaut MacLean will perform a spacewalk and become the first Canadian ever to operate the Canadarm2, Canada's robotic arm on the International Space Station.
