Mint strikes Medal of Bravery coin

Air Force personnel are no strangers to the Medal of Bravery. Many of our members have received the prestigious medal since its inception in 1972, the same year that all of Canada’s Decorations for Bravery were created. During the recent medals presentation at Rideau Hall, the Royal Canadian Mint unveiled its newest commemorative coin, which pays tribute to everyday heroes who have received the Medal of Bravery. One hundred thousand of the new 25-cent coins are now in circulation.
