Clean Air Act Bill to be Tabled in the House of Commons
The Government of Canada has announced that it will table a bill entitled "Clean Air Act" in the House of Commons during the week of 16 October 2006. The bill aims to eliminate voluntary compliance by Canadian industry with previous standards for pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions, and implement comprehensive national standards that will be strictly enforced.
