Drug Development Initiative: Research Resource Grants

The Drug Development Initiative: Research Resource Grants are intended to enable Canadian universities and research hospitals, through new or existing drug development centre(s) or networks, to identify and advance promising drug compounds to clinical development and commercialization. This funding opportunity will enable the purchase of equipment to set up centre(s) or networks, will better identify products of therapeutic potential at an earlier stage, will enable institutions to undertake enhanced drug development research and will further strengthen the intellectual property (IP) position within Canadian universities and research hospitals. This initiative will link academic and company researchers and will stimulate the development and validation of novel compounds.

Five applications were received to the November 15, 2005 deadline and we are pleased to announce that two were approved for funding [ HTML | PDF (83 KB) | Help ].
