Canadian Broadcasting Corporation - Media relations
The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) locked out some 5 500 journalists, technicians and administrative employees just after midnight this morning.
The measure comes after talks between the CBC and its principal union, the Canadian Media Guild, did not bring about substantial progress. The Corporation has announced that programming will continue but will be scaled back.
