REGISTERED POLITICAL PARTIES' SECOND QUARTER
FINANCIAL RETURNS FOR 2005 NOW ON-LINE
OTTAWA, Wednesday, August 17, 2005 — The Chief Electoral Officer of Canada,
Under subsection 424.1(1) of the Canada Elections Act, the chief agent of a registered party that is entitled to a quarterly allowance must submit a quarterly return on the party's contributions and transfers to the Chief Electoral Officer within 30 days of the end of the quarter.
The deadline for filing the registered party second quarter financial transactions returns for 2005 was midnight on August 2, 2005.
The returns are posted at www.elections.ca > Election Financing > Contributions and Expenses (database).
