Snowbirds Commanding Officer Provides Update

CAS-MA - August 25, 2005

Thunder Bay, Ont. – Major Ian McLean, Commanding Officer of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, will provide an update on yesterday's crash at 1:00 p.m. (E.S.T) today.

Media interested in attending are requested to be at the Prince Arthur Hotel, 17 Cumberland Street North, Thunder Bay, Ontario, no later than 12:50 p.m. (E.S.T).

A Canadian Forces Snowbird pilot safely ejected from his CT-114 Tutor jet Wednesday, August 24 at about 5:25 p.m. in Thunder Bay, Ont., during the warm-up phase before the Thunder in the Air Airshow. The Flight Safety team arrived in Thunder Bay at 10:45 a.m. today to commence their investigation.
