To this end, we are inviting Canadian companies interested in the Brazilian market to attend the event below as well as, to participate in an one-on-one meeting program during the week in which the show will be taking place. São Paulo, Brazil - October 17-20, 2005 - ABTCP, held every year, is organized by the Brazilian Pulp and Paper Technical Association. This show is Latin America?s largest trade fair for suppliers of products and services to the pulp and paper industries, attracting some 250 exhibitors and more than 13,000 visitors. The trade fair will include technology and equipment for the following areas; paper making, upgrading of existing mills; paper automation and instrumentation, pulping, recycling, waste management, consulting and engineering services, softwares to control pulp and paper processes and manufacturing, raw material handling, environmental planning and technology and energy generation(alternative sources)among others. Some of the foreign countries that participated in its last edition include Canada, Argentina, USA, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, France and Germany among others. In terms of announced business opportunities, the Brazilian pulp and paper industry is expected to invest US$ 14.4 billion during the next ten years in upgrades and expansion projects (US$ 5.2 billion to the paper industries, US$ 7.3 billion to the pulp industries and US$ 1.9 billion to the wood companies).
