butterfly 208 challenges Canadian youth to learn about global issues and express their vision for a better world.

Important news: The butterfly 208 contest is on hold this year to give us an opportunity to develop a new and even more exciting program. In the meantime, please visit the butterfly 208 site often for new ways to get involved in international development, new classroom activities and a very special upcoming feature on last year’s winners trip to Kenya.

The butterfly 208 program gets its name from the theory that a butterfly flapping its wings in one part of the world can cause a hurricane millions of kilometres away.

Remember: Be the change you want to see in the world. One flap. Global impact!
