Foreign Affairs Canada is pleased to invite you to a roundtable on “Northern Foreign Policy: Feedback and Look Ahead.”

The roundtable is an annual event held in one of the territories and this year it will be held in Whitehorse, February 1-2, 2005, at Yukon College. The roundtable is designed to bring together participants from government and the community, to discuss developments in northern foreign policy since the release of the Northern Dimension of Canada’s Foreign Policy in June 2000. Topics will include Canada's on-going work at the Arctic Council, Yukon participation in the University of the Arctic and the activities of the Yukon Government in Circumpolar Affairs. We also look forward to identifying new partners and to a continued dialogue with our existing Northern Canadian partners.

We would like to extend an invitation to you to join us at Yukon College. If you are interested in Canada's role in the circumpolar world and would like to participate in the outreach we would encourage you to fill out the attached registration form and indicate areas of interest you would like to see addressed. We look forward to receiving input and we want to ensure we make the two-day outreach beneficial to all involved.
