3rd Canadian Developmental Biology Conference

Overview:

Building on the successes of the first two Canadian Developmental Biology Conferences held in 2002 and 2004, the Conference Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the 3^rd Canadian Developmental Biology Conference taking place on April 6-9, 2006, in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec.

The conference program consists of invited platform talks, platform presentations (selected from submitted abstracts) and poster presentations organized into the following sessions:

• Pattern formation
• Organogenesis - Endocrine tissues
• Organogenesis - Brain and neuronal differentiation
• Organogenesis - Mesendodermal derivatives
• Control of growth and organismal control
• Epigenetic control mechanisms
• Stem cells, precursors and differentiation

Dr. Olivier Pourquié (Stowers Institute, Kansas City) will be presenting the keynote lecture entitled "Somitogenesis" and Dr. Janet Rossant (The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto) will give a public lecture on "Stem cells and the future of medicine".
