ALLERGY ALERTUNDECLARED PEANUT PROTEIN IN YOGOURT RAISINS PREPARED FOR JOHNVINCE FOODSOTTAWA, January 27, 2006 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Les Aliments Johnvince are warning people with allergies to peanut protein not to consume Johnvince Foods Yogourt Raisins described below. The affected products contain peanuts which are not declared on the label. The following Johnvince Foods products are affected by this alert:
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of the affected products. These products have been distributed in Quebec. Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to peanut protein. Les Aliments Johnvince, Boucherville, Quebec is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
