Minister Dion to Appear Before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Industry, Natural Resources, Science and Technology and Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development

OTTAWA, October 3, 2005 – Media representatives are advised that the Honourable Stéphane Dion, Minister of the Environment, will appear before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development, on Tuesday, October 4, 2005. The Minister will provide the Standing Committee with an overview of Project Green, the upcoming Montreal Climate Change Conference, the 2005 Report of the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development and the major achievements on the environment and sustainable development file. Earlier in the day, the Minister will also appear before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Industry, Natural Resources, Science and Technology to discuss fuel/gasoline prices in Canada.
