New value-added strategy a roadmap to Alberta's future prosperity

Alberta Economic Development and Alberta Innovation and Science have announced "Securing Tomorrow's Prosperity", which is a strategic policy framework to help Alberta respond to increasing global challenges and it is the economic pillar of government's strategic plan for the next 20 years. The strategy aims to ensure that Alberta's economy is capable of constant innovation, creates higher value jobs, goods and services and is able to sustain Albertans' prosperity and enviable quality of life.

“Research and innovation contribute to our economic prosperity and are the cornerstones of Alberta’s knowledge-based economy,” said Victor Doerksen, Minister of Innovation and Science. “This strategy is a solid and realistic plan that focuses on accelerating Alberta’s capacity for innovation, allowing us to further develop our research capabilities and adopt new technologies and processes.”
