Gould passed his associateship examination in solo piano performance at the Toronto Conservatory of Music at the age of 12, and this success opened the door to a variety of concert experiences in his home town. By 1950, when he made his broadcast debut on the CBC radio network, he had become a Canadian celebrity.

Program for Toronto Symphony Orchestra Secondary School Concert at Massey Hall, Toronto, January 14-15, 1947. For Glenn Gould's Toronto Symphony Orchestra debut, he played Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major, Op. 58. The program is autographed by the guest conductor, Bernard Heinze.

Program for International Artists series recital at Eaton Auditorium, Toronto, October 20, 1947. Gould played works by Beethoven, Chopin, Couperin, Liszt, Mendelssohn and Domenico Scarlatti. This was his first public solo piano recital.
