Data release dates

The first major release on May 16, 2007 will provide comprehensive information about agricultural operations across Canada and about the people who are managing those farms.

In the fall of 2007, the Agriculture Community Profiles, using 2006 Census of Agriculture data, will provide free agricultural statistics for most communities on the Internet. Historical data from selected farm and operator data tables will also be released in the fall.

The final release in 2008 matches farm operators with the information they provided on the Census of Population long-form questionnaires. This special database allows the farm population to be compared with the general population in areas such as marital status, level of schooling, unpaid work and total household income.
