Multiple Formats

This site features documents in HTML as well as other alternate formats.

Note: Some of the following links lead to sites of organizations or other entities that are not subject to the Official Languages Act. The material found there is therefore in the language(s) used by the sites in question.

PDF Files

To view the PDF version of a document you may require Acrobat Reader available from Adobe or other software capable of viewing PDF files. An accessible version of Acrobat Reader , which includes support for screen readers, can also be downloaded. Alternatively, you can convert a PDF file to HTML or ASCII text by using one of the Adobe conversion services.

RTF Files

To view the RTF version of a document you will need a word processing software. Several viewers are available free of charge for this type of alternate format, such as Microsoft Word Viewer.

PPT Files

To view the PPT version of a document you will need a presentation software. Several viewers are available free of charge for this type of alternate format.

Pages and files may be offered in various multimedia formats. Users may use the following links to obtain software to enable the viewing of multimedia formats.

Audio Files

ASF Files

Audio files with a .asf extension can generally be opened with the default audio player software installed on your computer. Several audio players are available free of charge such as:

MP3 Files

Audio files with a .mp3 extension can generally be opened with the default audio player software installed on your computer. Several audio players are available free of charge such as:

Video files with a .mov extension can be viewed with QuickTime, which is available to download free of charge.

Video files with a .wmv can be viewed by the video player Windows Media Player, which is available to download free of charge.

FLASH Animation

In order to be able to view Flash Animations in your web browser, you need to install Macromedia Flash Player, which is available to download free of charge.
