Accountability

Under the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA), the Public Service Commission (PSC) has the responsibility to ensure that organizations meet the accountability requirements and expectations the PSC has established. To this end, the PSC has developed the following tools and guides:

• Accountability Policy
  Describes how the Commission will hold deputy heads accountable for the exercise of their delegated appointment authorities.
• Staffing Management Accountability Framework (SMAF)
  Identifies five key dimensions for management systems: governance, planning, policy, communication and control.
  • Introduction to the Mandatory Measures
  • Mandatory Measures
    Identifies the minimum measures to be used by all delegated organizations for the implementation of a SMAF.
• Accountability Guide - Introduction
  Comprised of a series of modules providing information on the PSC’s staffing management accountability framework, expectations and tools.
