Minister Manley to Meet With Provincial and Territorial Finance Ministers and Treasurers 

John Manley, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, will meet with provincial and territorial finance ministers and treasurers on Friday, October 10 at the Department of Finance in Ottawa.

This will be the first occasion for ministers to have a substantive discussion of the renewal of the equalization program by April 1, 2004. A microphone and a multi-feed box will be set up in the lobby for media availabilities with ministers before and after the meeting.

8:15 a.m.
There will be a photo opportunity of the ministers in the meeting room before the meeting starts. This photo-op is for cameras and stills only.

8:30 a.m. – noon
Meeting (closed to media)

12:15 p.m.
Exit scrums in lobby (open coverage)
