Minister Manley to Travel to Regina, Calgary and Vancouver

John Manley, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, will travel to Regina, Calgary and Vancouver from October 14 to 16, 2003.

This tour is part of Minister Manley’s ongoing consultations to obtain input from Canadians regarding economic and fiscal priorities.

REGINA

Minister Manley will participate in a roundtable discussion with members of the Regina business community. This event is hosted by the Regina Chamber of Commerce, and will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the Regency Ballroom at the Radisson Plaza Hotel Saskatchewan, 2125 Victoria Avenue.

A brief media availability will be held at approximately 1:00 p.m. in the Blue Lounge of the Radisson Plaza Hotel Saskatchewan.

In the afternoon, Minister Manley will take part in a roundtable discussion with community leaders and local residents at the Assiniboia Club.

Minister Manley will participate in a Community Leader Roundtable with local academics, social group representatives and business people at 2:00 p.m. in the Kensington A&B Rooms at the Calgary Marriott Hotel, 110 – 9^th Avenue Southeast.

VANCOUVER

At noon Minister Manley will deliver a speech to the Vancouver Board of Trade on Canada-U.S. relations in the Waterfront Ballroom of the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, 900 Canada Place Way.

A brief media availability will be held following the conclusion of the speaking program.

Minster Manley will then participate in a roundtable discussion with local social group representatives and business people at 3:00 p.m. in the Governor General Suite C at the Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver, 999 Canada Place.
