Minister Goodale to Continue Pre-Budget Consultations
Note: All times are local.
Minister of Finance Ralph Goodale will participate in the second week of a series of cross-country pre-budget consultations from January 19–23, 2004.
During these meetings, the Minister will meet with a wide range of representatives from Canada’s social, business and academic communities to discuss their priorities for this year’s budget.
Monday, January 19 – Vancouver
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Minister Goodale will take part in a breakfast roundtable discussion at the Pan Pacific Vancouver (999 Canada Place).
Although the meeting is closed to the media, the Minister will be available to take questions from journalists at 10:15 a.m. in Governor General Suite C.
Tuesday, January 20 – Winnipeg
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Minister Goodale and Minister of State (Financial Institutions) Denis Paradis will take part in a breakfast roundtable discussion at the Fort Garry Hotel (222 Broadway Avenue).
Although the meeting is closed to the media, the Ministers will be available to take questions from journalists at 10:15 a.m. in the Gateway Room.
Wednesday, January 21 – Halifax
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Minister Goodale will take part in a breakfast roundtable discussion at the Prince George Hotel (1725 Market Street).
Although the meeting is closed to the media, the Minister will be available to take questions from journalists at 10:15 a.m. in the Windsor 1 Lounge.
Thursday, January 22 – St. John’s
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Minister Goodale will take part in a breakfast roundtable discussion at the Delta St. John’s Hotel (120 New Gower Street).
Although the meeting is closed to the media, the Minister will be available to take questions from journalists at 10:15 a.m. in the Avalon Boardroom Salon D.
Friday, January 23 – Charlottetown/Fredericton
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Minister Goodale will take part in a breakfast roundtable discussion at the Delta Prince Edward Hotel (18 Queen Street) in Charlottetown.
Although the meeting is closed to the media, the Minister will be available to take questions from journalists at 10:15 a.m. in the Consbrook Room.
2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Minister Goodale and Minister of State Paradis will take part in a roundtable discussion at the Delta Fredericton Hotel (225 Woodstock Road) in Fredericton.
Although the meeting is closed to the media, the Ministers will be available to take questions from journalists at 4:15 a.m. in Grand Ballroom C.
