Finance Minister Comments on Japanese Stabilization Plan
Finance Minister Paul Martin issued the following statement today:
"I welcome the financial sector stabilization plan announced earlier this week in Tokyo. The plan is an important step in strengthening the Japanese financial sector and, when combined with other plans to deregulate and improve supervision in the banking sector, should contribute towards improving credibility with financial markets."
