Steering Committee for the IDF-EE

Mandate

The Steering Committee of the IDF-EE will approve the proposed agenda and the summaries of the IDF-EE meetings. Summaries of the IDFEE meetings appear on the TBS-EED intranet site on Publiservice. The Steering Committee will provide a leading role in setting up sub-committees and will also assist in facilitating discussions at the IDF-EE meetings when necessary.

Membership

The Steering Committee will be composed of two co-chairs, one secretary, and four representatives. One Co-Chair and the secretary are from the Treasury Board Secretariat; one representative is from the Public Service Commission; and three representatives are from departments and agencies. Efforts are made to ensure representation from small, medium and large departments, as well as a representative of a separate employer. The departmental Co-Chair and the departmental representatives are elected for two-year terms with an emphasis placed on continuity of the membership.

Frequency of meetings

The Steering Committee meets 5 times per year, approximately 4 weeks before each IDF-EE Meeting to decide on the agenda for the upcoming meeting, and to discuss future meetings.
