Vision,

The vision for the GOC Federated Architecture Program (FAP) is an adaptive government-wide common IM/IT infrastructure, that is responsive to the strategic electronic service delivery initiatives of the federal government (as per the SII Vision), which enables:

  • Connectivity between and among different departments, levels of government, communities, businesses, and Canadians across Canada and internationally;

  • Access to electronic information and transactions about government programs, organized to respond to the needs of Canadians and business rather than to the internal design of government;

  • Public assurance that the confidentiality of personal and commercial information is protected; and

  • On-going improvement of government administration including internal electronic communications.
