If you aspire to play a leading role in Canadian public policy and governance, then our high-profile Accelerated Economist Training Program (AETP) was designed with you in mind. Geared towards students in economics or public policy, the AETP offers high-calibre Master's degree candidates in any discipline, the opportunity to work alongside Canada's top decision-makers on a number of social, economic and international policy agendas. This unique two-year program is comprised of four challenging six-month assignments in central agencies and participating departments, providing a tremendously diverse work experience, particularly in the area of policy analysis. The emphasis on mentoring, hands-on training and teamwork has enabled many successful participants to pursue truly rewarding careers at the federal level.
