Re: Public Service-wide Employee Survey - May 22 to June 21, 2002
We are pleased to announce that the official launch date for the second Public Service-wide Employee Survey is next Wednesday, May 22nd.
Since the release of the Survey results in 1999, departments and agencies have been working to address various areas of concern raised in the Survey. Many initiatives have been implemented which are designed to ensure continued improvement in the workplace.
The second Survey was developed through a process of consultation between Treasury Board, departments, agencies and bargaining agents. It provides you the opportunity to build on the effort that departments and agencies have embarked on over the past three years by expressing your views on today's workplace. Your responses will also enable us to measure progress since the 1999 Survey results were published.
We invite you to take the time to complete the second Employee Survey. Although your participation is voluntary, the greater the number of employees who participate, the more accurate and representative the results will be in regard to our workplace.
54% of employees across the Public Service responded to the 1999 Survey. We would like to improve this response rate. You can follow the daily response rate effective Monday, May 27th by checking out the Survey web-site at:
www.survey-sondage.gc.ca
By taking the time to complete the 2002 Employee Survey you will help in achieving the goals of the Public Service becoming a real workplace of choice and of improving service to Canadians.
We thank you for your support.
