This section includes links to both Canadian and International conferences and events of interest to those persons involved in the area of information technology and management.

Framework for the Management of Information in the Government of Canada (FMI) Foundation Section - New Documents
The foundation provides an overview of the management of information in the GoC to enhance awareness and understanding of information as an integral part of government activities and the importance of managing information in government departments and agencies. The following topics have been added: Preface; Vision, Goals and Objectives; Principles; Overview of Legislation, Regulations and Policies; Information Governance and Accountability Overview; and Stakeholder Perspectives.

IM Day 2001 links now available from IM Day 2002 pages
Presentations from IM Day 2001 have now been added to the IM Day 2002 section of the IMRC.

Long-term Preservation of Authentic Electronic Records:
Findings of the InterPARES Project 

The InterPARES Project is a major international research initiative in which archival scholars, computer engineering scholars, national archival institutions and private industry representatives are collaborating to develop the theoretical and methodological knowledge required for the permanent preservation of authentic records created in electronic systems.
