Appendix B – Transaction Approval Limits and
Conditions
A minister may transact in real property when the consideration paid or
received does not exceed the limits and conditions set out in the tables below.
Unless specifically mentioned or otherwise previously approved, the general rule
applies. These approval levels do not apply to custody transfers,
as defined in this policy, as custody transfers are effected at nominal value.
The transaction approval limits and conditions of the Minister of Public Works
and Government Services, set out in the tables, also apply to transactions where
the Minister of PWGS has been, legally and in writing, empowered to exercise the
powers of the custodial minister including the signing of the final conveyancing
document on behalf of the custodial minister. GST should be excluded for
the purposes of the approval levels.
