Federal government employees have acquired a reputation as being innovators in the field of information resource management, and this year the Library and Archives of Canada and the CFL have recognized this contribution by selecting Nancy Brodie as the winner of the 2002 Agatha Bystram Award for Leadership in Information Management.
e-Government Capacity Check Diagnostic Tool
Enhanced Management Framework (EMF) and KPMG Consulting LP
The EMF for IM/IT Division promotes the use of best practices, tools and methodologies to improve and enhance the management of IM/IT investments government-wide. EMF has entered into an arrangement with KPMG Consulting LP to provide the e-Government Capacity Check on the EMF web-site for use by Federal Government Departments, Agencies or other parties working on their behalf.
Information Management (IM) Capacity Check Tool
National Archives of Canada
The IM Capacity Check Tool (formerly known as the IM Maturity Model Tool) is a self-assessment tool intended as a diagnostic tool for senior management of an organization. An assessment using the IM Capacity Check can help institutions assess the state of IM practices within each entity against a common standard, bring together all the elements of information management practices, compare against best practices, and provide information to enable management to develop plans for improvements to their own IM practices.
