Media Availability with the President of the Treasury Board of Canada and Technical Briefing for the Media with Government Officials on the Federal Accountability Act

Ottawa, April 11, 2006

The Federal Accountability Act will be tabled in Parliament on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at approximately 10:00 a.m.  An Action Plan will also be released.  At 10:15 a.m. John Baird, President of the Treasury Board, will join the Prime Minister in a media availability in Room 238S (Commonwealth Room) in the Centre Block.  At 11:00 a.m. government officials will provide a not-for-attribution technical briefing to provide journalists with background information on the proposed legislation and Action Plan in Room 237C (Reading Room) in the Centre Block.
