The Federal Identity Program (FIP) is the Government of Canada's corporate
identity program. It helps project the government as a coherent, unified
administration and enables Canadians to recognize at a glance their
government at work for them. It facilitates access to government programs
and services through clear and consistent identification.
The Treasury Board of Canada, Secretariat (TBS) is responsible for the FIP
policy and standards. The head of communication is responsible for the
implementation and management of FIP within institutions that are subject to
the policy. TBS provides policy interpretation and design advice to the
heads of communication or their designated FIP coordinators.
