Using the Model
- Parliament:
- compare DPRs each year
- ask for improvements
- assess progress over time
- OAG:
- audit tool for rating DPRs - report annually
- Departments better understood by our own audit teams
- Departments:
- potentially a useful tool for self-assessment
- but not a template for preparing a DPR
Conclusion
- Serves needs of Parliamentarians
- Consistent with TBS leadership:
- Results for Canadians, DPR Guidelines, reporting principles
- A "Canadian approach"
